In a bit of a rinse-and-repeat pattern that never gets old, the Dons showed up strong once again last Thursday with a dominating win over Menlo Atherton in a non-league game at home. In case you weren’t able to join us, here are some fun facts about the game…

In the first half, the Dons had 5 offensive drives resulting in 4 touchdowns and 1 interception.

In the second half of the game, the Dons had a total of 3 offensive drives resulting in 2 touchdowns and 1 turnover on downs.

The Dons’ defense allowed the Bears only 5 first downs for the entire game.

Acalanes racked up 374 offensive yards to Menlo Atherton’s 143 yards in spite of possessing the ball 36% of the time compared to Menlo possessing the ball 64% of the time.

16 different Dons players made a tackle and Daniel Dunne (#76) was named Max Preps defensive player of the game with 4 Solo, 3 Asst, 4 TFL, 1 Sack for -10 yards, 1 Caused Fumble, 1 Fumble Recovery

12 different Acalanes players had a carry or a reception including touchdowns by Grant Condy (#88) with two touchdowns, Finley Rivera (#13) also with 2 touchdowns, Andrew Asadorian (#37) with a touchdown run, and Zach Birrell (#80) with the final touchdown of the game.

The Dons have a bye this week and take the field for the last time this year (cue the tears) on Thursday, November 2nd at Campolindo. We hope to see you all there!
