Boys Lacrosse Battles Back Against Tamalpais, Drops an 11-13 Nail-Biter

The Boys Varsity Lacrosse team traveled to Mill Valley on Tuesday to take on the formidable Tamalpais High Hawks. The Hawks started off strong, capitalizing on our 2-minute man-down, and took an early 5-1 lead in the first Quarter. The Hawks managed to stay out of the penalty box, execute cohesively on both ends of the field, and widen their lead against the Dons to 8-3 by halftime. Unfazed by the first-half malaise, the boys in blue sprung into action in the third quarter led offensively by several amazing goals from Seniors Dylan Olson and Zach Appel with multiple key assists from Owen Estee. Senior Defenseman George Churchill managed to get in on the offensive action and ripped a shot by the Hawks keeper. The Defense rose to the challenge as well, limiting Tam to 1 goal in the 3rd Quarter. Our second-half surge continued with the Dons racking up 5 more goals in the 4th Quarter and Senior Goalie Blake Chehlaoui amassing a (game) total of 14 saves in the cage. Unfortunately, our fierce efforts fell short as the Dons were dealt their first loss of the season losing 11-13.
