The JV Boys were down a couple of key starters for this match, but the team stayed competitive the entire game dropping a 0-2 decision to Ygnacio Valley. The Wolves’ stout defense limited the Dons’ chances throughout. YV struck in the first half via an effective high press which resulted in a turnover. The Wolves’ players pushed forward giving them an open shot on goal and 1-0 lead. The Dons defense continued to hold firm but a penalty in the box gave Ygnacio Valley a PK and ended the chance of a comeback. The Dons were led by Griffin Dubois, Dylan Machado & Jackson Hink, who stepped in to play outside left back the entire game. Brendan Bogan also played solid in goal and kept the match close. This was the first loss of the season for the Dons falling to 3-1-1 on the season. You can bet the JV team is looking forward to the rematch on 1/19. Tonight the JV aim to beat Northgate at 5pm.
