In Round 1 of Marin Catholic’s Lady Cat Classic Tournament the Lady Dons played San Marin who came in ranked #16 by West Coast Preps. The Dons jumped all over San Marin early on with a relentless full court press. The girls got out to a 7-0 and ended the 1st Quarter up 21-9. The second half saw more of the same, as the girls speed and pressure overwhelmed the Mustangs. The halftime score was 41-13 Dons behind an offensive explosion by Dulci Vail who had 22 first-half points. The girls coasted in the 2nd Half to a 72-38 victory.
Dulci Vail led all scorers with 30, Sophie Chinn added 13, Emily Du scored 9 and both Natalie Lyons and KK Lacanlale dropped 7 a piece. Sophie Chinn also had an incredible 8 steals for the night.
The girls now advance to Semifinals against a very good Sacred Heart Cathedral squad.
