The Dons started the game looking tough in the first quarter playing tremendous defense. Olivia Whipple had two steals and the Dons defense forced the Campo shot clock to run out several times. Unfortunately in the second quarter, the Cougars seemed to take it up a notch and they scored five goals. Whipple had another steal. Goalkeeper Hanna Mirzai made a fantastic block. In the third quarter the Dons defense came alive holding the Cougars to only two more goals. Jenny Haugner had one steal. Arianna Berloui blocked a Campo shot and Mirzai snatched the ball. The fourth quarter saw Adrianna Berloui make a steal and then later score the Dons’ only goal of the game. The final score was Acalanes 1 – Campo 11. 

It was a tough loss, but our girls played their hearts out and we are so proud of them! They travel to Amador Valley on Thursday, October 6th. JV plays at 5:30.
