The JV Lady Dons led the whole game at Las Lomas with a final score of Acalanes 8 – Las Lomas 6. Kate Roberts and Olivia Whipple each had 2 goals. Jenny Haugner, Bella Bundy, Adrianna Berloui, and Arianna Berloui all had 1 goal apiece. 

Acalanes took a decisive lead in the first quarter with 3 goals. Haugner scored with an assist from Whipple. Roberts scored with an assist from Haugner. Whipple scored with an assist from Roberts. Haugner, Adrianna B, and Roberts each had 1 steal. Whipple ended the quarter with 3 steals. Goalkeeper Hanna Mirzai made an outstanding block.

The Lady Dons showed their strong defensive skills in the second quarter. Juliet McIlwain, Whipple, and Arianna B all had 1 steal. Haugner made 3 steals. Mirzai lunged and stole the ball as Las Lomas tried to score.

The third quarter saw Whipple drive in and score her second goal of the game. Roberts scored her second goal when she rebounded her own shot, shot again and scored. Bundy scored with an assist by Whipple. Mirzai made a great block. Haugner, Roberts, Arianna B, and Whipple each got a steal. 

In the fourth quarter Mirzai made 2 amazing blocks. She demonstrated her cat-like reflexes when LL took a quick shot. The Berloui Twins scored the final 2 goals of the game. Adrianna  scored when she got her own rebound and shot again. Arianna scored with an assist from Roberts. 

The JV team next plays on Thursday, September 29th at home. They take on Miramonte at 4:00pm.
