The Dons secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the first inning. The Dons big bats were led by Esa Orman, Tess Gundacker, Avery Robb, Ella Johnston, Emme Young, and Sophia Alvarado, all driving in runs in the frame. The game ended with Acalanes 16 and Mt Diablo 4
Sophia Alvarado wanted to spice things up in the third inning by whacking a triple, but Esa Orman wanted to spice it up more with a homerun. Yet, Tess Gundacker dash on some more zest with a triple. (Someone hand me a glass of water! It’s getting too hot with these Dons!) Lady Dons collected 12 hits on the day. Popplardo, Orman, Lulu Levy, and Gundacker all managed multiple hits for the Dons.
Scarlett Popplardo would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Friday, driving in four on three hits to lead the Dons. Popplardo drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the third, and a single in the fifth. Popplardo went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Lady Dons in hits.
Lana Cerejo was on the rubber for the Lady Dons. The hurler surrendered four runs on four hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one.Lady Dons didn’t commit a single error in the field-that’s DONtastic!
