The Lady Dons won their quarterfinal match-up against Washington by a score of 53 to 24 in front of a large and festive crowd at home Saturday night. The girls started slow in the first quarter and then finally woke up in the 2nd quarter behind pressure defense and great hustle by Sophie Chinn. At the half the lead was 25 to 12. The 3rd quarter was again slow, but the girls exploded in the 4th as the full court press finally broke Washington. The final margin of victory was large, however, it was not the girls’ best of games. Sophie Chinn was the scoring leader with 17, Karyss Lacanlale had 13, Dulci Vail scored 12 and Emily Du added 9 points. On to Semifinals Wednesday night at home against Alameda!
