The Lady Dons handed the Miramonte girls their first loss versus a league opponent in roughly 5 years Tuesday night by a score of 51 to 25. This brings the girls record to 11-2 on the season. It wasn’t the girls best game, as Miramonte sat in a zone all game and made things tough with their two 6-footers. The Lady Dons were ice cold in the first half (combined with bad foul trouble) and only went into the half with a 2-point lead. Finally the dam began to break in the 3rd quarter for the Lady Mats, as our girls assumed control and the rout was on. Sophie Chinn was the scoring leader with 12, Emily Du had 11 and Dulci Vail and Karyss Lacanlale both had 10. A special shout out goes to Kelly Todhunter for her post defense inside against Miramonte’s leading scorer.
