The Acalanes Girls Varsity volleyball team was beaten in three sets by the Miramonte Matadors on Thursday night, 25-8, 25-22, 25-20. In set 1, the Matadors gave the Dons fits with their serving and defense. Acalanes got down early and could not put a run together. In set 2, the Dons were down just 1 at 20-21, but the Mats where able to force a few more turnovers and closed out the win. In set 3, it was more of the same, with the Matadors effectively keeping the Dons’ defense on their heels while limiting their own mistakes.

After a rough start to the season, the Dons will now regroup and prepare for Las Lomas on the road on Wednesday night.
