
On Wednesday night in Orinda, the JV Boys basketball team avenged an early season loss to crosstown rival Miramonte HS, by winning a thrilling one-point game, 46 to 45, to gain their fourth straight victory. In a tight game with numerous lead changes, the Dons found themselves down 24-19 at halftime, but rallied in the third quarter to take a 35-33 lead going into the fourth quarter. Leading the way in scoring for the Dons was Yanaton Draznin with 10 points, followed by Noah Bloch and Tyler Murphy who each contributed nine. The fourth quarter saw both teams scratch and claw their way to an ultimate single point Dons victory. The JV Boys team next plays at home on Friday at 5:30 pm against Clayton Valley Charter School.
