On Thursday, the Girls Varsity Tennis returned home to take on the Miramonte Matadors. The girls played a nice match tonight, but fell 8-1. Jasmine Taylor was the sole singles winner, with a second set comeback, and she was named player of the match.
On the singles side, Liza Sokolova lost 6-1, 6-3 at Line 1, Audrey Tseng lost 6-2, 6-4 at Line 2, Louie Kubas lost 6-2, 6-1 at Line 3, Jasmine Taylor won 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-6) at Line 3, Emery Stern lost 6-1, 6-2 at Line 5, and Delphine Fisher lost 6-4, 6-3. On the doubles side, Sadie Moise and Grace Colaco lost 6-1, 6-2 at Line 1, Hetty Lofting and Riley Zirkel lost 7-6, 6-1 at Line 2, and Carissa Penn and Maddie Obertello lost 6-3, 7-6 at Line 3. In the extended match, Tatum Duff and Lotta Griemens lost 8-1.
