Looking to find a winning formula, Coach James switched up his starting line-up Saturday night but came away with another disappointing loss as the Acalanes JV Boys basketball team went down in defeat to the visiting Piedmont Knights 68 to 45. Missing stalwart big man Tyler Murphy due to the flu, the Dons never came up with the answer as they were outscored, out rebounded and generally outplayed in every phase of the game by a sharp shooting Piedmont team which committed few errors in the game. Reflecting their offensive woes, no Don scored in double digits, but were nonetheless led in scoring by Jake James and Yanaton Draznin with nine points apiece, while Tate Nelson and Kai Feinberg each contributed eight. The JV boys next play at Northgate High School on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.
