Girls JV Tennis Match VS Piedmont HS

JV Dons tennis had a strong all-around match against Piedmont High School, earning a 10-2 team win at Acalanes High School. The singles lineup set the tone with six straight victories, and the doubles teams battled hard to finish the day with four more wins. From top to bottom, the Dons showed focus, consistency, and great teamwork.

In singles play, Ela Gozoren led the way at Line 1 with an 8-1 win, using strong groundstrokes and steady control to keep pressure on her opponent. At Line 2, Kennedy Wilson had one of the highlights of the day, dominating against a strong Piedmont player in an 8-6 victory. Kennedy stayed composed in the big moments and showed great determination to close out the match. Brooke Lewis followed with an excellent 8-1 win at Line 3, playing with confidence and smart shot placement. At Line 4, Katie Lager was consistent from start to finish, earning an impressive 8-0 victory. Sara Tsang also delivered a clean 8-0 win at Line 5, staying focused and controlling the pace of the match. Lulu Lancour completed the singles sweep at Line 6 with an 8-3 win, showing patience, hustle, and strong court awareness.

The doubles matches brought some of the most competitive points of the day. At Line 1, Rory and Quinn battled a tough Piedmont pair and showed great effort but dropped their match 2-8. At Line 2, Riya and Halong stayed positive and competed hard through long rallies, falling 4-8. At Line 3, freshmen Ella and Perrin came through with one of the biggest wins of the match. Piedmont recycled two of their best sophomore players into doubles, but Ella and Perrin rose to the challenge and pulled out an impressive 8-6 win against the older players. Their teamwork, calmness under pressure, and aggressive net play made the difference. At Line 4, Hanna and Elle played a steady match and earned an 8-2 win with consistent serves and smart doubles movement. Morgan and Sage were focused and dependable at Line 5, winning 8-4 behind strong communication and solid returns. At Line 6, Aly and Olivia finished the doubles lineup with an 8-5 win, showing determination and great energy to close out the day.

It was a complete team effort for the JV Dons, who finished with a well-earned 10-2 victory. The singles players were dominant, the doubles teams showed grit, and the team displayed great depth and confidence throughout the match.
