Acalanes came out strong Friday afternoon and set the tone early, earning a 50–37 win over Alhambra despite nearly half the squad out with injuries or illness.

The Dons continued to apply pressure in the second quarter, extending the advantage to 31–16 by halftime. Alhambra attempted to close the gap after the break, but Acalanes maintained control and finished the game with consistent defensive stops.

Will Palmer led Acalanes with 12 points, connecting on 2 three-pointers and adding 3 rebounds. Drew Felder followed with 11 points, shooting 4-for-7 from the field and pulling down 4 rebounds. Tade O’Keeffe also finished with 11 points, providing steady scoring and energy throughout the game. Nico Choulos contributed 8 points and 5 rebounds, while Eli La Rotonda added 6 points and 3 assists to round out a balanced offensive effort.

Defensively, Acalanes limited Alhambra to 37 points, forcing 14 turnovers and holding the hosts to 15 made field goals on the afternoon. The strong defensive performance allowed Acalanes to control the pace and secure a well-earned road victory.

The freshman Dons travel to Campo on Monday with the aim to extend their winning streak to 10.
