Varsity Boys Soccer: Dons Battle Back to Tie Campo, 1-1

Acalanes and Campolindo played to an entertaining 1–1 tie on Tuesday night in a high-intensity match with a spirited crowd on hand.

The first half saw the Dons generate several quality chances through sustained pressure, led by Omri Noiman and Zachary Birrell, who consistently disrupted Campo’s buildup. Defensively, Aidan Parnell and Eli Romick anchored the back line and limited Campolindo’s opportunities. The teams headed into halftime scoreless.

Campolindo struck first early in the second half, scoring in the 48th minute on a corner kick that deflected through traffic. Acalanes responded with composure and persistence, leveling the match in the 63rd minute when Birrell calmly finished a low shot to bring the Dons back even.  The final minutes featured strong defensive organization from Acalanes, as the Dons successfully defended multiple corner kicks and free kicks to preserve the draw.
