Acalanes earned a 2–1 victory over College Park High School with a complete team performance, controlling the tempo throughout the match and limiting the Falcons to few quality scoring chances.
The first half was marked by strong possession and attacking play from Omri Noiman, Charlie Phillips, Santi Vignoles, and Caleb Nguyen, who all helped dictate the flow of the game. Karsten Harmeyer showed grit and toughness after taking a high kick to the face, leaving the match bloodied before returning for the second half. In goal, Bryan Lurie came up with a crucial point-blank save to keep College Park off the scoreboard as the teams went into halftime scoreless.
Acalanes continued to press after the break, with Vignoles applying pressure down the wing with some nice runs. The breakthrough came in the 52nd minute when Noiman delivered the goal of the year so far, unleashing a stunning 35-yard strike that froze the goalkeeper and found the top corner of the net. Noiman struck again in the 61st minute, finishing after a well-placed free kick from Eli Romick found Andres Duke, who assisted on the play to make it 2–0.
College Park pulled a goal back in the 65th minute, but the Dons held firm down the stretch. Strong defensive play from Maor Ziskind and Aidan Parnell helped shut down a late push and secure the win.
