Acalanes Boys Varsity Soccer Falls to Archie Williams

On Tuesday December 9, the Dons faced a strong and fast-starting Archie Williams squad that jumped ahead 3–0 in the first half. Acalanes responded with resilience, tightening up defensively behind the work of Ben KarpukKyler Roberts, and Aidan Parnell to slow the Falcons’ attack. The Dons broke through just before halftime when Theo Horwath picked the pocket of the Archie Williams goalkeeper and finished to cut into the deficit.

The second half turned into a defensive battle, with Acalanes holding firm and creating counterattacking opportunities. Grant Matter delivered solid play from the left back position to keep the Dons in striking distance. In the final minute, Omri Noiman served a dangerous corner kick into the box that Acalanes converted to make it 3–2, but time ran out on the comeback and the Dons were forced to settle for a narrow defeat.
