Girls Golf Clinches 3rd Place at Antioch Invitational

On a chilly and overcast Wednesday morning, the Acalanes Girls Golf Team competed in the 2025 Antioch Invitational, an 18-hole tournament held at Lone Tree Golf Course, the same site that will host the DAL Championship on October 20th. Facing off against seven competitive teams, the event was a perfect opportunity for the Dons to fine-tune their game ahead of postseason play.

Freshman Cameron Koch led the team with a stellar round of 81, highlighted by eight pars and one birdie. Junior Miracle Gu continued her consistent season, carding an 83 with five pars and two birdies. Senior Jordan Huskins added a 95, showing strength off the tee, while sophomore Cici Ning and senior Grace Wolpert rounded out a solid team performance.

The Dons ultimately finished 3rd overall, behind strong squads from Livermore and Dublin, but the highlight was a commanding 31-stroke victory over Campolindo, the current 2nd place team in the DAL — a strong response after two narrow losses to them earlier in the season.

With the regular season now officially complete, the team sets its sights on the DAL Championship this Monday back at Lone Tree. The experience gained at this week’s invitational should serve as a primer on course management and strategic preparation, positioning the team well for a potential berth in NCS competition coming soon.

The Acalanes Girls Golf team has demonstrated dedication, growth, and competitive spirit throughout the season, and looks poised for a strong postseason performance.

Go Dons!
