Tuesday, September 16, 2025 Dougherty Valley H.S., San Ramon, CA — Men’s Varsity Water Polo continued their victorious 2025 season with their 8th straight win in a row last night against the Dougherty Valley Wildcats with a final score of 18-7 (Dons).  This away game took place at the gorgeous Dougherty Valley aquatics complex, and was well attended by screaming and cheering parents from both teams alike.

Freshman superstar Borna Koopah lead the charge out of the gate by winning the 1st sprint and scoring the 1st goal, supported by fellow Freshman the talented Aiden Castro who drew an exclusion (this means the other team gets reduced by one player, giving our team an advantage) who then assisted the goal with a pass to Koopah.  This dominating start to the game continued with two more goals being scored by the legendary Thomas Parrott (Senior), another goal from Koopah, and an incredible field block and goal from one of last seasons top scoring players, Junior Isaac Topp ending the first quarter 5-2.

The statistics reported for all players shows what a wide and deep breadth of talent Head Coach Nick Jordan has developed in this team over his past 4 years of tenure at Acalanes.  An astonishing 28 total Steals were turned in by the combined efforts of Borna Koopah (Fr.), Adrian Anderson (So.), Thomas Parrott (Sr.), Aiden Castro (Fr.), Gunnar Grant (Fr.), Nico Roig (Sr.), Charlie Holmes (So.), Azaa Kahantanbaatar (Sr.), Alex Lavoie (So.), Owen Andre (So.), Will Miller (Jr.), Mateo Picard (Sr.), Ethan Zolboo (Sr.) and Peter Endemann (So.)  Endemann turned his 4th Qtr. steal into an incredible cross-pool charge hotly pursued by two opponents, culminating in an underwater battle for possession of the ball directly in front of the goal.  Refusing to give up, Peter “Poseidon” Endemann ultimately rose solo above the foaming melee to score an incredible goal through the waves of cascading water.

The 18 Goals scored in this game were lead by Borna Koopah with 6 (making his total goals scored 37 for the season), followed by Peter Endemann with 3, and Thomas Parrott with 3 more (bringing him to 21 so far this season.)  More goals were scored by Alex Lavoie (2), Isaac Topp (2), Will Miller (1), Aiden Castro (1), and Nico Roig (1) while this spectacular array of goals were all Assisted by Borna Koopah, Thomas Parrott, Will Miller, Adrian Anderson, Ethan Zolboo, Nico Roig, and Aiden Castro.

Junior powerhouse Fisher “The Barrier” Bradford-Urban once again demonstrated immense ferocity and skill adding 11 more blocks — including a sensational 5 meter block towards the end of the 4th Qtr — to his impressive total of 76 saves so far this season, placing him solidly within the top 75 Goalkeepers in the United States.  Notably, Bradford-Urban is also a USA Water Polo Scholar Athlete currently receiving top marks in five AP classes, two Honors classes, and volunteering as a Peer Tutor along with his Water Polo commitments.

This sensational team will be Live Streamed tonight, Wednesday Sept 17th at 4:00 pm with live game time commentary by the fabulously renowned Lady Dons Women’s Water Polo Team on the YouTube Channel “Acalanes Stadium”  — @acalanesboostersstadiumtv    Tune in and see the magic happening yourself!
