Varsity Water Polo is First Place Champion of the Gold Division! Crushed the competition at Sierra Shootout Tournament

Acalanes Varsity Mens Water Polo absolutely crushed all competition at the Sierra Shootout Tournament this past weekend in Roseville, capturing First Place Champions of the Gold Division in an incredible tsunami of power.  Final scores of 14-2, 18-9, 16-5, and 15-7 left all the Dons opponents staggering home in devastation wondering what hit them.  At this time, this Mighty Don Team is ranked #1 in NCS Division II and ranked #3 in all of NCS (out of 68 schools) for Mens Water Polo.
 
Every player on the team was in the water this weekend contributing to this incredible victory which now assures the Dons a seed in the Platinum Division for 2026.  Goalie Fisher “The Barrier” Bradford-Urban (Junior) had an incredible 43 blocks, 8 Goal Assists, and 1 Steal at the Tournament, while Freshman superstar Borna Koopah contributed 15 Goals, 11 Goal Assists, 6 Steals, and 7 Ejections Drawn against the opposition.  Other leading athletes were Senior Thomas Parrott with 7 Goals, 2 Assists, and 3 Ejections Drawn and Senior Owen Hulst with 6 Goals, 3 Assists, and 1 Steal.  Gunnar “Steal Monster” Grant (Freshman) stole an amazing 7 balls along with turning in 5 Goals, 3 Assists, and 4 Ejections Drawn.  Junior Will Miller decimated the opposition by 5 Ejections Drawn, 4 Steals, 3 Goals, and 3 Assists as did Junior Isaac Topp with 5 Steals, 3 Goals, and 2 Assists.
 
Longstanding anchor to this team Senior Mason Schlehr brought home 5 Goals, 5 Assists, and 3 Steals while Freshman Aiden Castro contributed an impressive 4 Goals, 5 Assists, and 1 Steal.  The multiple remaining Goals, Assists, Steals, and Ejections Drawn were a combined team effort lead by Peter Endemann (Sophomore), Nico Roig (Senior), Malleus Kadai (Senior), Ethan Zolboo (Senior), Mateo Picard (Senior), Charles Schultz (Senior), Azaa Kahatanbaatar (Senior), Charlie Holmes (Sophomore), Alexandre Lavoie (Sophomore), Owen Andre (Sophomore) , and Adrian Anderson (Sophomore).
