The Acalanes Girls’ Golf Team is off to a great start! In the past week, the Lady Dons have had three matches. In the first (non-league) match against Clayton Valley, returning Varsity players Miracle Gu and Jordan Huskins, shot in the mid-40s and Miracle birdied hole 16! Their low scores helped lead the Dons to a victory, 193-252. Sophomores Cici Ning, Chloe Vignoles, Courtney Hamill, and Bea Deignan, as well as Freshman Cameron Koch played in their first Varsity matches against Northgate and Campolindo and although our players fought hard, it wasn’t our day. This young team shows a lot of promise and will have the opportunity to face both teams again in the next few weeks. Coming up: Varsity takes on Miramonte at OCC on September 8th then hosts Miramonte on September 10th @ Rossmoor. Go Dons!
