The 2025 Acalanes Women’s Water Polo Team started off their season with the annual alumni game on Saturday, August 16th. The new Lady Dons came out strong and dominated the alums from start to finish. Afterwards, the women’s and men’s team all gathered for the annual Lafayette Water Polo Foundation Party to celebrate the teams and the upcoming season!

The Lady Dons played several scrimmages this weekend starting with the Carondelet Cougars on Friday night. On Saturday, they headed to Monte Vista where they faced the Washington High School Warriors, the Monte Vista Mustangs, and the Archie Williams Falcons. While no scores were kept, Acalanes found the back of the net an awful lot and felt good about their performance overall.

After a quick lunch, the team headed up to the Delta for a retreat full of boating, tubing, volleyball and team bonding fun! It was a great way for the team to get ready for an outstanding season of Acalanes water polo.

Come out and cheer on the Lady Dons today at the Heaston Aquatic Center when they host the Archie Williams Falcons.
