Acalanes had a tough outing, falling to Miramonte 15–6 in a game that didn’t quite live up to its expected hype. Whether it was spring break on the brain or a short-handed roster, the Dons just couldn’t find their rhythm and struggled to gain — or keep — possession all night. At one point, fans even shuffled seats in a last-ditch effort to change the team’s luck… unfortunately, no magic there.
Honestly, the biggest crowd-pleaser might have been a surprise fourth-quarter cameo from a very cute dog who briefly stole the spotlight.
On the stat sheet, Emily Roberts and Kelly Reidenbach each netted two goals, while Reese Imrie and Grace Colaco added one apiece, with Colaco also dishing out an assist. Colaco led the way on draws with six controls, and Imrie chipped in two. Goalie Sarah Hession recorded five saves in net. Ruby Bogan came up with two loose balls, and Maya Stafford, Kate Uffleman, Colaco, Imrie, Roberts, and Reidenbach each added one.
The silver lining? Spring break is here, offering a chance to reset, recharge, and come back ready to play! The Dons next game is Friday, April 10 at Las Lomas.
