Today was hot hot hot! Even the pool was hot! The temperature AND the races!
Indy, Lucy, Mave and Kelsey finished 3rd for the JV Girls in the 200 Medley Relay, kicking things off! Ben, Logan, Brad and Jonathan also finished 3rd for the JV Boys. The Varsity girls won their race, in an NCS Automatic time! GO Malin, Anna, Tess and Anika! The B Team of Audrey, Addison, Sophia and Sara finished 4th in an NCS Cons time. The Varsity boys came in second (Braden Jayden, Cruz and Gunnar) with an NCS Cons time, and the B team finished 5th (Charlie, Aiden, Max and Thomas).
Maddy Maurer finished 3rd in the 200 Free JV girls race, while Ella Del Rosario won the Varsity race in a solid NCS Cons time. Jayna was 5th, Karly 7th, Brooke 9th. Braden, Owen and Jay went 1, 2, 4 in the Varsity Boys race. Kelsey, Indy and Emi went 3, 6, 7 in the JV Girls 100 IM, while Ben finished 2nd in the boys race. In the varsity races, which are twice the length, Perri Smith won the girls race in an NCS Cons time! Jayden and Charlie went 4, 5 in the boys race.
Indi finished 3rd in the 50 Free for the JV Girls, with Lily, Mave right behind her in 4th and 5th. Audrey, Emi, Kylie and Lulu were 7, 8, 9, 10. Brad finished 3rd for the JV Boys, with Noah in 5th, Adrian in 6th, Eli in 7th and Duncan in 8th. Anika won the 50 Free for the varsity girls in an NCS Cons time, with Anna in 3rd, Lily in 4th, Jess in 6th, Ava in 7th, Sara in 9th. Gunnar Grant went NCS Cons in the boys race, finishing 5th overall. Wilson was 8th, Andrew 11th.
Lucy K finished 4th in the 50 Fly for the JV girls, while JJ finished 4th for the JV boys. Wes was 7th, Noah 8th. Tess won the varsity girls 100 Fly race in an NCS Cons time. Karly T was 7th. Braden and Mason went 1, 2 in the boys race, with Braden going NCS Cons. Ryan G was 8th, Lachlan T was 10th. Maddy, Lucy, Kylie, Maya and Lulu went 2, 4, 6, 7, 8 in the 100 Free for the JV Girls, while Brad, JJ, Finn, Logan, Sean and Wes went 2-7th for the boys. Luke W was 9th, Eli R was 10th. Ella, Anika, Malin and Jayna went 1, 2, 3, 4 in the varsity race! Both Ella and Anika went NCS Cons. Lily, Jess, Elinor, Avery and Sara went 8, 10, 11, 12, 13. Cruz finished 2nd in the 100 free boys race, going NCS Cons. Andrew, Thomas, Wilson and Peter went 4, 5, 6, 7. In the 500 races, Sophia S finished 3rd for the varsity girls, while Gunnar and Aiden finished 3rd and 5th for the varsity boys.
In the 200 Free Relays, the JV girls team of Indy, Mave, Lucy and Kelsey finished 3rd, while the boys team of JJ, Logan, Finn and Brad finished 2nd. The B team of Dillon, Cooper, Noah and Sean finished 4th. The varsity girls teams finished 1st and 4th, both going NCS Cons times. The A team was Jess, Lily, Elinor and Ella, and the B team was Karly, Sophia, Perri and Ava. In the boys race, the Acalanes teams took 3rd and 4th. The A team (Wilson, Max, Mason, Andrew) went NCS Cons. The B Team was Owen, Lachlan, Ryan and Peter.
Kelsey finished 3rd in the 100 Back for the JV Girls, while Finn, Logan, Adrian and Ben went 6, 7, 8, 9 for the JV boys. Sean G was 11th. Tess and Malin took the top two spots in the Varsity girls race, with Tess swimming an NCS Cons time. Brooke R finished 7th. Cruz won the varsity boys race in an NCS Cons time, with Mason in 4th, Max 7th and Lachlan 8th. Cruz is now #9 AHS All-Time in the 100 Backstroke! GO CRUZ!
In the 100 Breast races, Lily, Mave and Maya finished 5, 6, 7 for the JV girls while Luke and Jack finished 3rd and 4th for the JV boys. Anna won the varsity girls race with Addison close behind in 2nd – both swam NCS Cons times. Audrey M was 4th, Elinor was 5th and Perri was 6th. Jayden Hwang finished 3rd in the boys race, swimming an NCS Cons time for the first time! GO Jayden! Aiden C was 5th, Jay S was 6th.
The final races were the 400 Free Relays. The JV girls team of Maddy, Lily, Emi and Kylie finished 3rd, while the boys team of Finn, Wes, Sean and Adrian also finished 3rd. The varsity girls team of Jayna, Anika, Ella and Malin won with an NCS AUTOMATIC time! The boys finished 2nd in an NCS Cons time – congrats to Cruz, Braden, Andrew and Gunnar!
