The Dons headed to Northgate this past Friday for a dual meet after school. Northgate has a really beautiful pool – it’s one of my favorites – next to ours of course!
The JV Girls started off strong with a 3rd place finish in the 200 Medley Relay – (Ella, Mave, Maddy and Indi). The boys also took 3rd (Ben, Logan, Finn, Adrian). The Varsity girls won their relay with an NCS Cons time – congrats to Anika, Anna, Tess and Sara! The Varsity boys took 2nd and 4th, with both teams going NCS Cons times. Congrats to the A team of Braden, Cruz, Mason and Gunnar, as well as the B team of Dane, Jayden, Peter and Thomas!
Indi Perry finished 6th in the JV girls 200 free, and Jonathan Judson finished 2nd, with a 12 second pop! WOW! Ella Del Rosario won the varsity race with an NCS Cons time. Perri was 5th, Jess 7th, Sophia 8th and Avery 9th. Cruz finished 2nd in the boys race, with an NCS Cons time. Braden was 3rd, Aiden 9th, Dane 11th and Charlie 12th.
Maddie M was 3rd in the 100 IM, with Ella S in 6th. Logan L finished 7th in the boys race, with Finn B in 8th and Ben P in 9th. Addison S finished 4th in the 200 IM, with Lily B in 5th, Karly T in 6th and Brooke in 8th. Andrew T was 4th for the boys, with Mason S coming in 5th, Jayden H in 6th and Ryan G in 7th.
Lucy K finished 8th in the JV 50 Free, while Mave M was 14th. Brad B was 4th in the boys race, with Jonathan J coming in 8th. In the girls varsity race, Ella D was 2nd, Malin S was 4th, Anna M was 5th and Sara W was 8th. Gunnar G finished 2nd for the boys, with Wilson D, Max M and Thomas B-K coming in 6th, 7th and 8th.
Mave M came in 4th in the 50 Fly, with Noah M finishing 5th in the boys race. Adrian A, Eli R and Dillon N were 6th, 7th, 8th. Malin S won the girls varsity race with an NCS Cons time, while Tess V and Jayna G took 2nd and 3rd. Perri S was 8th. Braden D took 3rd for the boys varsity team, with Gunnar G in 4th, Mason S in 7th and Lachlan T in 10th.
In the 100 Free, Kylie K and Indi P finished 6th and 7th for the JV Girls. Brad B and Theo P finished 4th and 10th for the boys. Anika R took 2nd for the varsity girls with an NCS Cons time, while Lily B and Sara W finished 5th and 7th. Max M finished 3rd for the varsity boys, while Thomas B-K was 5th, Wilson D 6th, Gavin B 7th and Peter E 9th.
Maddy M won the JV Girls 500 Free, while Karly T, Gen B and Avery T took 2nd, 3rd and 4th for the varsity girls. Charlie H and Ryan G finished 6th and 7th for the varsity boys.
In the 200 Free Relay, Indi P, Mave M, Kylie K and Ella S finished 3rd for the JV Girls. The JV boys team of Duncan S, Noah M, Cooper M and Dillon N finished 4th. For the varsity races, the girls team of Elinor C, Sophia S, Gen B and Perri S took 4th in an NCS Cons time! The two boys teams finished 2nd and 5th. Congrats to Mason S, Andrew T, Thomas B-K and Max M (A team) as well as Wilson D, Gavin B, Owen A and Aiden C (B team).
In the 100 Back races, Ella S finished 2nd and Ben Paulsen finished 2nd in the JV races. Anika R and Tess V took 1st and 2nd in the varsity girls race, both with NCS Cons times. Cruz T won the varsity boys race, with an NCS Cons time. Andrew T was 4th, Lachlan T 5th and Dane S 7th.
For the 100 Breast races, Lucy K won for the JV girls, while Ruby H-S finished 5th. Jack Morgan was 3rd for the boys. Addison S, Anna M and Elinor C finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th for the varsity girls, all going NCS Cons times!!!! Jayden H finished 4th for the varsity boys, with Aiden C in 6th, Gavin B in 7th, Owen A in 8th and Daniel K in 9th.
In the final event, the 400 Free Relay, Emi K, Ruby H-S, Elena G and Lulu L finished 3rd for the JV girls, while Ben P, Logan L, Finn B and Noah M finished 3rd for the JV Boys. The varsity girls raced two teams – the A team of Malin S, Jayna G, Anika R and Ella D took 2nd with an NCS AUTOMATIC time – yes girls! The B team of Karly T, Tess V, Perri S and Lily B finished 4th in an NCS Cons time. The varsity boys also raced two teams, finishing 1st and 4th. Andrew T, Gunnar G, Braden D and Cruz T earned an NCS Cons time with their win, while Lachlan T, Ryan G, Peter E and Charlie H raced on the B team.
Next meet is down in Mission Viejo, CA! Select varsity swimmers will be leaving Friday morning to bus down for the meet on Saturday. This is a highly competitive meet that usually produces some amazing results! Updates next week! GO DONS! Swim fast!
