Dons Dominate in Decisive 8–0 Win

Frosh Boys Dons Soccer Team Celebrates Another Shutout Win

Playing Saturday at Acalanes High School, the Freshman Dons (5-0) turned in a complete performance, rolling to an emphatic 8–0 victory over Berean Christian. The constant attack was led by team captain Mason Foster and striker Nick Siewert, who each notched hat tricks. Foster was named “Man of the Match” by the coaching staff for his leadership and clinical finishing.

The breakthrough came in the 5th minute of the match when midfielder Jonny Rubin threaded a perfectly weighted ball into space for Siewert who finished cleanly.

The Dons struck again 10 minutes later. Once more it was Siewert getting behind the defense, this time finishing another through ball for his second goal of the match, with the assist coming from David “The Machine” Penn.

Fourteen minutes before half, James Ammerman stole the ball high, made a sharp cutback outside the box and lifted a left-footed shot over the goalkeeper’s outstretched hands to make it 3–0.

At the 11-minute mark, Berean Christian combined for their first shot of the game, but the attempt was handled comfortably by the Dons’ keeper Lucas Leingang.

With two minutes remaining in the half, a loose ball spilled out of the box to Foster who wasted no time, driving a left-footed strike into the upper left corner to send the Dons into the break up 4–0.

The second half followed the same script. Seven minutes in, Foster dribbled through the defense and calmly slotted another finish into the left corner for his second of the night.

At the 25-minute mark, a ball over the top found Foster wide open. He controlled and fired home to complete his hat trick. Moments later, Rubin picked up his third assist of the match, slipping a pass through the defensive line to Siewert for another clinical finish.

Rubin capped the scoring himself with 20 minutes left, arriving unmarked at the top of the box and burying a feed top bins to make it 8–0.

From the opening whistle, the Dons controlled the tempo and punished every mistake, closing out a dominant home performance. In their first five games this season, the Dons have outscored their opponents 34-1. This is the fourth shutout in a row for the freshman squad.

Join the team this Tuesday Jan. 13 for a home tilt against Los Lomas. Game starts at 4pm. Go Dons!
