
Acalanes took care of business on the road Friday, earning a 56–41 win over Granada.
The Dons established an early edge, leading 11–9 after the first quarter and 25–18 at halftime. Granada made a brief push early in the second half, but Acalanes responded with its most efficient stretch of the game, outscoring Granada 21–13 in the third quarter while shooting 8-for-12 from the field to create lasting separation.
Tyler Cosso led all scorers with 15 points, finishing 5-for-7 from the field with 5 three-pointers while adding 5 rebounds and a team-high 3 blocks. Acalanes’ perimeter shooting played a major role throughout the game. Francesco Cangini scored 14 points, knocking down 4 three-pointers while contributing 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Eli La Rotonda added 11 points and directed the offense with 6 assists, helping Acalanes finish 12-for-20 (60%) from beyond the arc.
Zenai Kaplanes-Jones delivered a strong all-around effort with 6 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Drew Felder added 3 points and 2 steals, while Tade O’Keeffe chipped in 3 points and 2 assists. Will Palmer finished with 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists, and Will Griffin added 2 points and 3 rebounds in his first game back after recovering from an early-season injury.
With the victory, Acalanes improves to 8–5 overall as the season moves forward.
