Acalanes Freshman Basketball Earns 51–34 Road Win at Las Lomas

Acalanes put together a composed road performance Tuesday afternoon, defeating Las Lomas 51–34 behind a fast start and sustained defensive pressure.

The Dons took control early, opening the game with a 21–7 first quarter and carrying a 33–18 advantage into halftime. Acalanes remained disciplined after the break, limiting second-chance opportunities and preventing Las Lomas from finding any offensive rhythm over the final two quarters.

Drew Felder led the scoring effort with 11 points, knocking down 3 three-pointers while adding 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Francesco Cangini also scored 11 points, connecting on 3 threes and contributing 2 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks in a balanced outing.

Zenai Kaplanes-Jones finished with 5 points and a team-high 3 steals, and Tade O’Keeffe chipped in 5 points and 5 rebounds, providing consistent interior presence.

Acalanes’ defense forced 23 turnovers, repeatedly disrupting possessions and keeping Las Lomas from settling into half-court sets.

The Dons’ next matchup is with Northgate on Thursday January 15th at 4:30PM.
