Acalanes earned a 2–0 victory over Deer Valley High School on Saturday with a complete team performance. The first half was scoreless, but the Dons applied consistent pressure with strong contributions from Santi Vignoles, Maor Ziskind, and freshman Charlie Phillips.

The breakthrough came late in the match. In the 74th minute, sharp combination play between Ben Karpuk and Omri Noiman carved through the Deer Valley defense, with Noiman beating a defender down the wing and delivering a perfect cross that Karpuk finished to give the Dons the lead. Just four minutes later, Acalanes extended the advantage when Noiman calmly converted a penalty kick to make it 2–0.

Defensively, the Dons were outstanding throughout, frustrating the Wolverines with speed and physicality from Aidan Parnell, Eli Romick, and Trevor Krick, while Caleb Nguyen came up with several clutch saves to preserve the shutout.
