JV Boys Soccer – Dons Settle for 1-1 Tie vs. Deer Hill

The sun shone Saturday afternoon as the boys JV faced Deer Hill at home. The Dons put on a performance marked by relentless control and offensive pressure against Deer Hill, but ultimately had to settle for a 1-1 draw despite their dominance.

The Dons established their control early, owning the possession and dictating the flow of the game from the opening whistle. Despite this strong start, Deer Hill managed to score first. Acalaes was quick to find an equalizer, when Noah Frankel (#10) tied up the game when his corner kick arced into the net, ricocheting off the post.

The second half was a testament to Acalanes’ superior attacking play. The Dons poured on the pressure, generating numerous quality scoring chances. The half was full of shots on goal and multiple one-on-one opportunities created against the Deer Hill goalkeeper. Despite the sustained offensive bombardment and the precision setup, the ball frustratingly, and almost comically, refused to find the back of the net again for Acalanes.
