Acalanes fans endured a chilly night to watch the JV boys soccer team bring the heat against Archie Williams at home this past Tuesday The Dons got off to a fast start, seizing the momentum in the first ten minutes of play. Guest playing freshman came up huge for the Dons, when Johnny Rubin (#9) put the home team on the scoreboard, capitalizing on a well-placed assist from Mason Foster (#11).

For the remainder of the game, the Acalanes defense proved to be a formidable wall. Mason Hennessy (#12), Jonathan Judson (#16), and Owen Westin (#15) were defensive standouts, effectively outrunning and neutralizing every offensive threat from the opponents. Goalkeeper Gino Rubio also rose to the occasion, making a spectacular save in a crucial one-on-one situation to maintain the shutout.

However, in the final minutes, an unlucky handball call awarded Archie Williams a penalty kick. While the keeper made an incredible initial stop on the PK, the ball rebounded, allowing the opposing team to quickly score on the second chance.
