Cross Country DAL Championships: ACA turns up the heat at Hidden Valley Park

The Frosh/Soph Boys team battled through warm weather to earn a strong 6th place finish. Matthew Roberts led the point scoring with a commanding performance, setting a steady rhythm from the start. Jasper Hoffman, Cade Korpita, Aidan Burley, Rodrigo Chaffo Ramirez, Greyson Blair, and Brock Garland followed with gutsy efforts, each runner pushing through exhaustion on the final incline to secure valuable team points.

The JV Girls faced the day’s races with determination. Julia Kunz and Samantha Griscavage powered through the opening mile, maintaining steady pacing as the field spread thin across the park’s winding trails. Chloe Harvey dug deep on the final climb, while Max Martinez capped off the race with a fierce kick to the finish.

In the JV boys race Shiraz Kamran and Dylan Adams opened with bold pacing, while Nael Benmeziane and Marshall Stirling maintained composure on the rolling middle miles. Tamim Burley and Dario Hamidi closed in with strong surges down the homestretch, locking in the team’s top-half finish among a competitive field.

In the Varsity Girls race, Nevis Murphy led the charge with her trademark focus, navigating the dry switchbacks with precision. Olivia Jensen and Charlotte Keyser followed, each tackling the uphill finish with steady strides and a strong push to the finish.

In the Varsity Boys race. Harry Zimmerman led the Dons with an impressive 16th-place finish, Jason Rossetter, David Ellerbrock, Dane Darby, Dashiell Tinianow, Alexander Hagen, and Ollie Penn met the challenge and fierce competition to help the team earn a 7th palace finish.

Hidden Valley Park demanded everything from its runners, and each athlete rose to the challenge, Great Job and Great season DONS!
