
The Varsity Girls Tennis team hit the road on Tuesday afternoon, taking on 10-4 Las Lomas High School. The girls played some very long, touch matches with 4 tiebreakers and pulled out the great 8-1 victory as night fell in Walnut Creek.
On the singles side, Elisabetta Sokolova won 6-4, 0-6, 10-8 in the tiebreaker at Line 1, Aamena Shipchandler won 6-2, 6-4 at Line 2, Grace Colaco won 6-2, 6-3, 10-5 in the tiebreaker at Line 3, Emily Roberts won 6-2, 6-0 at Line 4, Audrey Tseng won 6-1, 6-1, and Eloise Kubas won 7-5, 6-1 at Line 6.
In doubles, the Line 1 team of Lauren Foster and Ridhi Patel won 6-0, 6-1. At Line 2, Sadie Moise and Grace Britto lost a heartbreaker 7-6, 3-6, 10-6 tiebreaker in the last match that extended well into the evening. At Line 3, Riley Zirkel and Hetty Lofting came roaring back after dropping the first set 0-6 to win the second set 6-3 and tiebreaker 10-6. Riley and Hetty were named players of the match.

In the extended match, Lauren Anderson and Maddie Obertello won 8-1.
The team continues the road trip to take on Campolindo on Tuesday, October 14 @ 3:30pm
