In a high-stakes showdown at the DAL Championship, the Lady Dons rose to the occasion on Monday, October 20th. Needing a strong finish to keep NCS hopes alive, the team delivered under pressure, battling through tough conditions at Lone Tree Golf Course to claim 3rd place overall, just behind Northgate and Campolindo High Schools.
The Dons were led by Junior Miracle Gu, who carded an outstanding 81, highlighted by 7 pars and a birdie. Senior Taylor Baker followed with a solid 84 (6 pars), while Senior Jordan Huskins posted an 88 with 5 pars. Freshman Cameron Koch added a 94, and Senior Grace Wolpert and Sophomore Chloe Vignoles both delivered strong rounds to help secure the podium finish.
This clutch performance gives the Lady Dons a compelling case for an at-large bid to NCS, with selections expected to be announced on Wednesday. If the Dons get the nod, expect them to make some serious noise — the Blue is coming!
Adding to the excitement, three Lady Dons earned All-League Honors:
· 🥇 Miracle Gu – 2nd Place Overall and 1st Team All-League
· 🥈 Taylor Baker – 2nd Team All-League
· 🎖️ Jordan Huskins – Honorable Mention All-League
Congratulations, Lady Dons! Here’s to a hopeful NCS berth and more great golf ahead.
