On Friday night, Acalanes took the show on the road and once again proved why they’re undefeated, overpowering Miramonte 21–10 to push their record to a pristine 7–0. This wasn’t just another win; it was a warning: Acalanes football is a problem no one wants to face. Miramonte struck first with a field goal, but that was their last breath for two full quarters. From that moment on, the Dons slammed the door shut—literally.
Fireworks on Offense
The scoring started with Deonte Littlejohn, who bulldozed through the Matadors’ front for the first touchdown, setting the tone with pure power. After halftime, sophomore sensation Sean Tandler flashed his speed and agility, slicing into the end zone for the second score. And to seal the deal, Kyler Robert put the final stamp on the win with a smooth catch and touchdown in the fourth, making sure the Dons walked with a victory. Running the show with calm command was quarterback Tyler Winkles, who delivered an absolute masterclass. He finished the night 18-for-21, missing on just three passes while keeping the Matadors’ defense guessing. In the backfield, Josh Elerts went to work like a man on a mission, carrying the rock 26 times for 161 yards, punishing defenders and burning the clock. Wideouts Cody Mitchlitsch, Grant Ricker, and Finn Rivera each came through with clutch catches, moving the chains and maintaining momentum.
