The Varsity Girls Tennis team returned home to take on the Piedmont Highlanders on Wednesday and emerged with a 6-3 victory after falling to them two years ago. All of the Piedmont doubles players were strong.

On the singles side, Elisabetta won 3-6, 6-2, 10-5 tiebreaker at Line 1, Aamena won 6-3, 6-3 at Line 2, Grace C. lost 6-4, 6-1 at Line 3, Emily won 6-4, 6-2 at Line 4, Audrey T. won 6-1, 6-2 at Line 5, and Jasmine won 6-0, 6-2 at Line 6.

On the doubles side, Lauren F. and Ridhi won in a 3rd set tiebreaker 10-5 at Line 1 and were named players of the match. Sadie and Grace B. lost 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 tiebreaker at Line 2, and Hetty and Riley lost 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 tiebreaker at Line 3.

In the extended matches, Delphine won in singles 8-7, and Audrey P. and Maddie O. lost in doubles.

The team’s next match is against Miramonte High School at home on Tuesday, September 16^th @ 3:30pm.
