
The Varsity Girls Tennis team hit the road on Tuesday afternoon, taking on College Park High School. The outcome was never in doubt as the Dons cruised to a 8-1 victory, with the lone loss coming via an injury to one of the Dons players that caused the match to be forfeited.
On the singles side, Elisabetta Sokolova won 6-2, 6-1 at Line 1, Aamena Shipchandler won 6-0, 6-0 at Line 2, Grace Colaco won a hard fought match 6-2, 6-3 at Line 3 including an epic rally on match point that sealed the victory, and Emily Roberts won 6-1, 6-2 at Line 4. At Line 5, Emery Stern won the first set 7-5, but had to retire due to an ankle injury. Carondelet transfer Eloise Kubas won her first match for the Dons 6-0, 6-0 at Line 6 and was named player of the match.

In doubles, the Line 1 team of Lauren Foster and Ridhi Patel and line 3 team of Tatum Duff and Maddie Obertello both won 6-0, 6-0. At Line 2, Molly Jones and Delphine Fisher won 6-4, 6-1. In the extended matches, Lauren Anderson and Audrey Parkin won 8-0, and Sadie Moise and Grace Britto won 8-4.
The team continues the road trip to take on juggernaut Miramonte on Thursday, October 2 @ 4pm
