On Thursday the JV girls tennis team headed deep into Walnut Creek for a match at Northgate High School. Earlier in the week the weather won out and the girls had to postpone a match due to high temps and a practice due to wet courts. So by Thursday they were all ready to get back to it. 

Our singles players continued to dominate their opponents. Phoebe at Line 1 had the longest fought match, ultimately winning 9-7. At Line 2 Alessa wone 8-2, at Line 3 Averly won 8-4, at Line 4 Kennedy wone 8-0 and at Line 5 Carissa wone 8-1.

Our doubles players also had a great match. At Line 1, Lotta and Gemma easily took their opponents 8-0. At Line 2, Daisy and Livvy won 8-2. At Line 3, Ava and Parker won 8-6. At Line 4, Riya and Brooke won 8-2. At Line 5, Lulu and Sera won 8-2. At Line 6, Rory and Quinn fell 8-5. At Line 7, Sara and Casey fell 8-1. At Line 8, Lulu and Sera stepped up for round two and won 8-7 with a 7-1 tie breaker. And at Line 9, Sara and Riya won 8-5. 

Next week the girls bring it home! On Tuesday they play College Park at 4pm and on Thursday they play Miramonte at 4pm – let’s go Don’s!
