Boys Varsity Water Polo crushed it yet again in a hotly fierce match against the Rodriguez High Mustangs last night, adding another victory to the Dons impressive record with an 18-15 win. Multiple goals were scored by Nico Roig (Sr), Thomas Parrott (Sr.), Ethan Zolbo (Sr.), Borna Koopah (Fr.), Isacc Topp (Jr.), Will Miller (Jr.), Alex Lavoie (So.), Mason Schlehr (Sr.), and Aiden Castro (Fr.), but the Mustangs were hot on our heels matching goal-for-goal as they skillfully battled to try and win. Eight impressive blocks by Goalie Fisher “The Barrier” Bradford-Urban saved the day for the Dons, and with their 14-1 winning record the Mens Varsity Water Polo Team is currently ranked #1 in North Coast Division II and #1 in Diablo Foothill League. Bradford-Urban is currently ranked #11 for Goalkeepers in California, and #43 Nationwide, while Freshman superstar Borna Koopah is currently ranked #6 in California and #44 Nationwide for points scored (which counts both goals and assists) and is the #3 ranked Freshman Water Polo Player nationwide for goals scored.
Other impressive additions to the win were Steals performed by Seniors Own Hulst & Mateo Picard, Junior Isaac Topp, Sophomore Alex Lavoie, and Freshman Gunnar Grant along with Assists performed by Freshmen Borna Koopah & Gunnar Grant; Seniors Nico Roig, Ethan Zolboo, Malleus Kadai, & Mateo Picard; Juniors Will Miller & Goalie Fisher Bradford-Urban; and Sophomore Adrian Anderson.
