Boys Varsity Water Polo Fights Back, Comes up Just Short Against Clayton Valley

Varsity Boys Water Polo opened their season with one of the most exciting games that anyone has seen in decades, a nail biter that nearly went to overtime but ultimately culminated in a last minute loss 8-9 to the Ugly Eagles of Clayton Valley Charter School as the packed stands screamed in despair.  Spectacular blocks and passes by Goalie Fisher Bradford-Urban (Junior) assisted the field players spanning from Freshmen to Seniors in this impressively talented group.  Veteran Varsity players Thomas Parrott (Senior) and Alexandre Lavoie (Sophomore) each scored two goals, and the crowd was wowed by the impressively talented group of Freshmen players — Borna Koopa, Gunnar Grant, and Aiden Castro — who between them added another four goals to the Dons scoreboard.  Assists by Peter Endemann, Mason Schlehr, Thomas Parrott, Borna Koopa, Alex Lavoie, and Gunnar Grant showed the depth and breadth of this team.  Head Coach Nick Jordan lead this Varsity team to Playoffs last year, and although the Varsity team was bitterly disappointed by the 8-9 loss there is no question that this team has a fire in their belly and an exciting amount of talent that will bring us to the Playoffs again for 2025.
