Varsity Softball loses 5-1

The girls traveled to Martinez on Tuesday to take on the always tough, Alhambra Bulldogs on a beautiful afternoon. They lost 5-1 in a tight back and forth battle.

Junior Maya Shoenhair started in the circle.  She pitched four innings and gave up five hits, three earned runs and three walks, while striking out two Bulldogs.  She was relieved by sophomore Margaux Stone, who pitched two innings and gave up no runs, no walks and one hit.

Maya also had a nice day at the plate with two hits.  Senior center fielder Emme Young had another hit and run scored and sophomore third baseman Santana Tamayo had a hit and a run batted in.

The Dons finish the regular season against the Clayton Valley Ugly Eagles today at 4:30pm.  It’s Senior Night, so the festivities start at 4pm for this special game.
Come cheer on seniors Avery Robb, Emme Young and Esa Orman as they play their final regular season game at home.

The NCS Playoffs start next week.  Go Dons!
