The Dons squared off against another Division 1 contender on Thursday in Lafayette. The Falcons got off to a fast start before the girls showed some fire in an attempted comeback. The final score was 13-3. The loss dropped their season record to 9-7.
Acalanes was led offensively by freshman catcher June Natal, who had two hits, including a double and a booming three run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Senior first baseman Esa Orman also had a nice game with two hits and a run scored.
Sophomore shortstop Riley Zirkel got on base in all three at bats with a walk, hit by pitch and a rocket double into left center field, and junior right fielder Lauren Foster had a hit, a walk and a run scored.

The Dons take on the Benicia Panthers in Benicia on Tuesday before they head home to take on the Northgate Broncos on Thursday. The Division playoffs are two weeks away. It will be nice to start playing some D3 teams soon. Either way, Go Dons!
