The Varsity Dons dropped a frustrating game on Thursday to the Alhambra Bulldogs on Thursday at home. The loss dropped their record to 9-5.
The girls ran into a tough pitcher and were only able to scratch out four hits and two runs in a 10-2 loss. Senior center fielder Emme Young, sophomore left fielder Vanessa Choi, freshman catcher June Natal and junior pitcher Maya Shoenhair each had a hit for the day.
Unfortunately the ball just didn’t bounce their way. Maya started in the circle for the Dons and pitched for five innings. Sophomore Margaux Stone (#11) relieved her and pitched the final two innings giving up just one run on two hits with two strikeouts.

The tough schedule continues in the talented upper division of DAL, with games at Clayton Valley on Tuesday and a home game against College Park on Thursday. Go Dons!
