If we had to venture across town, at least it was for some good swimming! The Dons were looking to get back into shape as the season winds down with three weeks left! Facing the Cougars at Campolindo High School last Friday, there were a lot of solid swims put forth by our Dons!
The Varsity Medley Relays both put up NCS/CONS times, with Malin Stone, Anna Motes, Tess Veronda and Sadie Suppiger going 1:54.30, and Mason Schlehr, Jayden Hwang, Anthony Yamamoto and Jace Carter going 1:49.15.
Lily Briones improved her 200 Free time by two seconds, finishing 8th. Jonathan Judson and Charlie Holmes both shaved time in the 100 IM. Sadie Suppiger won the Varsity 50 Free with a CONS time of 25.14. Jonathan Judson had another solid time improvement in the JV 100 Free, cutting nearly two seconds! Anna Motes went CONS in the 100 Varsity Free, with a time of 57.85.
The 200 Free Relay teams of Lucy McShane, Jess Gerhardt, Malin Stone and Anna Motes, and the boys team of Jace Carter, Anthony Yamamoto, Andrew Tanimura and Max Musch both went CONS in their races, with times of 1:48.01 and 1:37.23.
Ella Schlehr keeps getting better – and shaved almost a second off her 100 Back in the JV race. Lachlan Tidd cut over a second off his 100 Back in the JV Boys race, finishing 2nd. Sadie Suppiger went CONS in the 100 Back Varsity race, finishing 2nd. Dand Schurhoff shaved two seconds off his 100 Back time! Anna Motes and Audrey Martin went CONS in the 100 Breast race, finishing 4th and 6th.
The 400 Free Relay team of Lucy McShane, Sadie Suppiger, Sara Williams and Jess Gerhardt went CONS, finishing 3rd with 3:56.01 while the boys team of Mason Schlehr, Braden Dunton, Andrew Tanimura and Max Musch JUST missed the CONS cutoff by several tenths!
Proud of the Dons that keep getting better and better! Next meet is on Wednesday, 4/16 at home. See you there!
