The Varsity Girls Lacrosse team met a tough opponent in the Cal High Grizzlies on Tuesday night at Cal High. As their mascot suggests, the Grizzlies were fierce opponents and the Dons, despite their hustle, struggled to adapt to the well rounded competition. The relatively empty game book pretty much summed up the game with very little in notable stats to report. Sophomore Cat Liu had the only 2 goals of the night, both on well placed 8 meter penalty shots. Grace Colaco and Reese Imrie successfully secured possession at midfield with 5 draw controls for Colaco and 2 for Imrie. Goalie Sarah Hession worked hard with 6 saves on the night including an amazing save on a tough penalty shot right before the half.
The Dons will take Spring Break to rest and reset and come back stronger, ready to take on Campo when they return. Please come cheer on the Dons at Campolindo on Tuesday, April 8 at 7pm!
