Varsity Girls Lacrosse Cruises to 18-8 Victory over Northgate

The Varsity Girls Lacrosse team turned in an outstanding performance, defeating Northgate 18-8 in a commanding victory. Several players stepped up to lead the charge, showcasing impressive offensive and defensive efforts throughout the game.

Stella Hamilton scored 4 goals and added 1 assist, while also contributing 3 draw controls and 1 loose ball control. Megan Churchill tallied 3 goals and 2 assists, further strengthening the offense. Campbell Evans was another key contributor with 2 goals and 2 assists, keeping the attack flowing and supporting her teammates. Grace Colaco displayed her playmaking ability, recording 2 goals, 3 assists, 2 draw controls, and 3 loose ball controls, helping to maintain possession and create scoring opportunities.

Other offensive contributors included Kate Beaver, who scored 2 goals and grabbed 1 draw control, and Emily Roberts, who added 2 goals and 1 assist to the scoreboard. Cat Liu was also effective, registering 3 goals, 1 assist, and 2 loose ball controls to keep the pressure on Northgate’s defense.

In the midfield, Reese Imrie controlled 3 draws and 1 loose ball, while Taylor Mikalis secured 1 draw control and 1 loose ball control. Maya Stafford played a crucial role in possession, gathering 5 draw controls and 3 loose balls.

Defensively, Reese Tierney and Kate Uffelman each contributed 1 loose ball control, helping to limit Northgate’s chances. Claire Zimmerman also had a few of her patented stops and runs down the field, and Addie McShane also played solid defense.  Goalie Sara Hession had a couple good saves, including one on a penalty shot.  With a well-rounded team effort, Acalanes cruised to an impressive 18-8 win, showing their dominance on both sides of the field.
