The JV softball team showed up on Wednesday to a surprise game vs. Albany, but rallied and did well. Second game of the season ended in a 14-11 loss. Freshman pitcher Ashlyn Fogarty had her first start of the year and threw a lot of strikes to keep the game moving with 4 strikeouts in 5 innings while only giving up 4 hits. This young team has potential!
Acalanes scored 11 runs on 11 hits lead by shortstop Leah Roth who went 2-2 with a single, triple and 2 walks. Second baseman Stella Mason went 3-4 with three singles, Hazel Raaum went 2-3 with two singles and third baseman Nella Rawski went 1-2 with one single and two walks.
