The Lady Dons scorched the Mats 84-47 and Boys won by 85.5-47.5. A feel good sunny Monday, which will be hard to write about since there were so many incredible performances.
Some highlights from the meet include:
4×100–The boys A team (Illias Kaplanes Jones, Matthew Schwarz, Jackson Boselli, River Lockwood) won with a speedy 43.35. The B team (Luca Oatham, Benjamin Mickelson, Christopher Copeland, Trevor Trick) took second in 43.88. To our knowledge, first time in DAL history that two teams at one school have been under the magic 44 second barrier, and the 43.88 moves Team B into 11th in ACA history.
The Girls A team (Sophie Chinn, Isabelle Agnost, Olivia Kemp, Haley Chelemedos) won in a season best 50.07, inching closer and closer to the sub 50 short term target
Discus–Deonte Littlejohn tossed a new PR at 166′ 5″, 6th best in ACA history
Pole Vault–Freshman Miles Moore won with an impressive 12’6″ PR, 2nd best in the frosh soph record book. Adam Dolberg took 3rd with a 9’6″ jump.
Long Jump–The Dons swept the girls and boys long jump. The girls were led by Haley Chelemedos 1st, Julia Munter 2nd and Addy Stevens 3rd. The boys were led by River Lockwood 1st, Illias Kaplanes Jones 2nd and Drew Hansen 3rd.
100 meters—Sophie Chinn ran a blazing 12.88 to win the 100, 11th in ACA history, Isabelle Agnost took second
The boys swept the 100: Illias Kaplanes Jones 1st, Matthew Schwarz 2nd and Christopher Copeland 3rd
200 meters—Haley Chelemedos won with a very fast 26.42 improving on her 11th best ACA time, Cameron Thornton placed 2nd with a PR 27.14 and Isabelle Agnost placed 3rd with a PR 27.25. Sweep.
Another boys sweep: Illias Kaplanes Jones 1st, Benjamin Mickelson 2nd and Luca Oatham 3rd
400 meters-Another boys sweep: River Lockwood 1st, Julian Hood 2nd and Harry Zimmerman 3rd. Cameron Thornton won the girls division with a PR 1:02.59
800 meters—Anju Sekhon placed 2nd
1600 meters–In the girls division Neve Murphy took 1st and Cameron Powell 2nd, in the boys division Dash Tinianow took 2nd.
3200 meters—Harry Zimmerman placed 3rd
Girls hurdles—Isabel Oh won the 100 hurdles and Yanina Galavach won the 300 hurdles and took 2nd in the 100’s.
Boys hurdles—Bryan Lurie took 1st in the 300 hurdles and Donovan McGrath 2nd in the 110s.
Throws–Bethel Ismasuen won the shotput with a PR 45′ 7.5″ and Deonte Littlejohn took second with a throw of 42′ 0.5″. In the girls division freshman Amari Hollins took 2nd with a PR 29′ toss and Haley Chelemedos took third. In the girls discus Amari also took 2nd and Mackenzie Siewart 3rd
High & Triple Jump–In the girls division Dulci Vail won the high jump and Samantha Griscavage took 3rd while Lesley Trowbridge won the triple jump. In the boys division Landon Deily won and Grant Ricker won the triple jump and took second in the high jump and Sameed Marco took 2nd in the triple jump.
