Varsity Boys Lacrosse Gets a Dominant Win to Start the Preseason

On Tuesday February 25, the team traveled to Dublin HS for their first match of the preseason.  They came away with a dominant 14-3 win and a nice night of game experience for all players and coaches.  It was a true team effort where 43 shots were fired and 22 loose balls were controlled.

The Dons controlled much of the game on offense while the defense stayed strong to stop any momentum that Dublin tried to gain.  Goalies Val Grossi (#25) and Kyle Sanftner (#8) each had saves as well.

Brody Darin (#1) had 6 shots, Griffin Rotundo (#3) had 4 shots with 2 goals, Jan Korzeniowski (#9) had 12 shots and 5 goals, Luke Dafferner (#23) had 4 shots and 3 goals, Simon Appel (#2) had 11 shots and 4 goals, Logan Houston (#10) had 4 shots, Mason Lanphere (#16) had one shot, and Theo Milnes (#7) had one shot.

Brody Darin (#1), Caleb Mason (#14), Corbin Gallegos (#21), David Gallacher (#49), Griffin Rotundo (#3), Jackson Tseng (#28), Jan Korzeniowski (#9), Luke Dafferner (#23), TJ Cronin (#5), Leo Deignan (#33), and Levi Mason (#27) all had loose balls controlled.  Ian Sanftner (#17) had an amazing 16 won faceoffs.

The Varsity Boys hope to carry some momentum into Friday’s match at home against Stuart Hall.  Go DONS!
